Pico de Orizaba, or Citlaltépetl, is Mexico's highest peak and the third highest in North America. At 18,491 ft (5,636 m), this dormant volcano offers a challenging climb that attracts mountaineers from all over the world. There are multiple routes to the summit, with the most popular approaches being the North Route or the Jamapa Glacier. Be prepared for altitude acclimatization and unpredictable weather conditions.
