Angel Falls, the world's highest uninterrupted waterfall with a height of 979 meters (3,212 feet), is located in the Canaima National Park. This breathtaking natural attraction is one of Venezuela's most famous landmarks and can be visited by air or by boat. The falls cascade down the side of the Auyán-tepui mountain and are named after Jimmy Angel, a U.S. aviator who first flew over the falls in the 1930s while searching for gold.
