Khazret Sultan, Uzbekistan's highest point at 4,643 meters (15,233 feet), is situated near the southern border with Tajikistan. The peak is part of the greater Gissar Range in the western Pamirs, which extends into three countries (Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan).
