Aydar Lake, also known as Aydar-Arnasay, is a massive desert lake located in the Kyzylkum Desert. This lake was formed unintentionally after the 1960s' Chardara Dam construction on the Syr Darya River. Aydar Lake is now an important habitat for native birds and other wildlife.
