Mgahinga Gorilla National Park offers not only the opportunity to trek and see gorillas, but also the chance to hike to the summit of three dormant volcanoes: Mount Sabyinyo, Mount Gahinga, and Mount Muhabura. These hikes range from moderate to challenging, with rewarding panoramic views at the summits. The park is also home to the rare golden monkey, various bird species, and unique vegetation zones found in the Virunga Mountains.
