Fort Lugard, established in 1890, is a historical site and museum located on Old Kampala Hill. It was used as a base for British colonial administrator Captain Frederick Lugard during his rule in Uganda. The site now serves as a museum showcasing important facets of Ugandan history such as the colonial era, the independence struggle, and the post-independence period.
