The Anau Mosque is located in the city of Anau and contains a beautiful remains of a 15th-century mosque with exquisite tile work. Geokdepe Mosque is a significant religious site where the Battle of Geokdepe took place in 1881 during the Russian conquest of Turkmenistan. The mosque was destroyed during the battle but was later reconstructed as a memorial to the bravery of the Turkmen people.
