The Queen's Staircase, also known as the 66 steps, is a historic landmark in Nassau carved from solid limestone by slaves in the late 18th century as a direct route to Fort Fincastle. The staircase was later named in honor of Queen Victoria for her role in the abolition of slavery in the British Empire.
