Visit the House of Wonders, or Beit-al-Ajaib, the largest and tallest building in Stone Town, Zanzibar. This historical building was the first in Zanzibar to have electricity and an elevator. Built as a magnificent palace by Sultan Barghash, the House of Wonders now serves as a museum where visitors can learn about the history of Zanzibar, Swahili and Omani culture.
