Crac des Chevaliers, also known as Qal'at al-Hosn, is a vast medieval fortress in the Homs region, which was built by the Crusaders before being taken over by the Mamluks. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is considered one of the most important and well-preserved examples of Crusader castles in the world.
