Apamea, also known as Afamia, is an ancient city located on the right bank of the Orontes River in Syria. It was once a major center of commerce and culture, featuring impressive Roman and Byzantine monuments, such as a two-mile-long colonnaded street, aqueducts, and a theater. Although the site has sustained damage in recent years, it remains a testament to Syria's rich history.
