Suriname Indigenous Peoples Day, celebrated every 9th of August, is a national event aimed at raising awareness about the unique cultures and traditions of the indigenous peoples of Suriname. During this event, people from various indigenous communities come together to celebrate their cultural heritage with music, dance, traditional foods, and arts and crafts.
