Iron Bottom Sound is a historical dive site located off the coast of Honiara and named for the numerous shipwrecks and aircraft remains that lie on the seafloor due to fierce battles during World War II. The site offers scuba divers an opportunity to explore the underwater graves that serve as a poignant reminder of the past.
