St. Elisabeth Cathedral, located in the city of Košice, is the largest church in Slovakia and a prime example of Gothic architecture. The cathedral houses intricate frescoes, sculptures, and an 11th-century gothic altar. The adjacent St. Urban Tower served as a watchtower, belfry, and eventually, a prison.
