The Lagoon is a unique surf spot located in the Simpson Bay Lagoon near the Simpson Bay Bridge on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten. This sheltered spot generates fun and manageable waves for beginner and intermediate surfers. Surfing the Lagoon is best during the winter months when the northeast trade winds create consistent waves. Due to its sheltered location from the rough ocean waves, The Lagoon is also an ideal spot for stand-up paddleboarding.
