Old Fourah Bay College, also known as the 'Oxbridge of West Africa', is an important historical site in Sierra Leone as it was the first higher education institution in the region. Established in 1827, the college played a significant role in the education of African intellectuals and Christian missionaries who later spread their knowledge and influence throughout West Africa.
