Held during Holy Week on the island of Marinduque, the Moriones Festival is a reenactment of the story of the Roman soldier Longinus, whose life was transformed upon witnessing the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The event features participants in colorful costumes and morion (Roman soldier) masks, engaging in lively street performances and parades.
