Air and Ténéré Natural Reserves is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in the north-eastern part of Niger, encompassing an area of over 77,000 square kilometers. The site is known for its unique landscape with huge sand dunes, deep valleys, rocky cliffs, and ancient petroglyphs. The reserve is also home to several endangered species, such as the African elephant, Dorcas gazelle, and Barbary sheep.
