La Malinche, or Malintzin, is a dormant volcano located in the states of Puebla and Tlaxcala. At 14,636 ft (4,461 m), it is one of the easier peaks to climb in Mexico and is a great option for acclimatization before attempting higher mountains. The ascent is relatively straightforward, with a mix of forested trails and scree slopes. Due to its accessibility, La Malinche is a popular destination for both locals and international climbers.
