Iztaccíhuatl, also known as the 'White Woman', is Mexico's third highest peak at 17,159 ft (5,230 m). The mountain has a unique profile, resembling a sleeping woman when viewed from a distance. The climb is not technically difficult but involves a significant altitude gain and the need for proper acclimatization. The standard route is La Arista del Sol (The Ridge of the Sun), which offers stunning views along the approach.
