Celebrate the annual Fête des Cuisinières, or Festival of the Women Cooks, held every August. This event honors the culinary traditions of Martinique and its female cooks. The festival includes a procession through the streets of Fort-de-France, traditional music and dancing, and plenty of delicious local food.
