One of the New Seven Wonders of the World, Petra is an ancient city carved into the rose-colored sandstone cliffs in southern Jordan. The city was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom and is famous for its beautiful treasury, Al-Khazneh, as well as many other archeological structures.
