Known as the 'City of Mosaics,' Madaba is home to a 6th-century mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. This ancient floor mosaic is housed in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, and there are many other Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics throughout the city.
