The Mediterranean Steps is a challenging and scenic hiking route that starts from the Jew's Gate Bird Observatory and takes you up a steep and narrow footpath to the summit of the Rock of Gibraltar. Along the way, you'll experience stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, the Strait of Gibraltar, and the northern coast of Africa. This hike is not for the faint-hearted but is well worth the effort for the spectacular views and unique flora and fauna found on the Rock.
