Anthedon Harbor is an ancient seaport located north of Gaza city. Established during the Hellenistic period, the harbor was used primarily for trade, military and administration purposes. The excavation site features the remains of a Hellenistic-Roman-Byzantine city, a Roman temple, and an early Islamic cemetery. Due to the challenging political situation, access to the site may be limited.
