Islas Murciélago, located off the coast of Guanacaste, is one of the best diving spots in Costa Rica. This group of islands is a marine protected area and national park, which has allowed the marine life to flourish. Divers can encounter bull sharks, manta rays, turtles, and various species of fish while exploring the coral reefs and underwater caves that surround the islands. Access to the dive sites is only possible through licensed dive operators.
