Papua, also known as Wigmore's Waterfall, is the only waterfall on the island of Rarotonga. Set amid lush rainforest, the waterfall cascades over a basalt cliff into a cool, inviting swimming hole. The waterfall is named after the late Sir Tom Davis, a former Prime Minister of the Cook Islands, who was also known as Pa Ariki. To get to the waterfall, visitors can hike along the scenic Papau Waterfall Trail.
