Located in the Lakes District of Chile, Volcán Villarrica is an active stratovolcano standing at 9,341 feet (2,847 meters) above sea level. The climb requires good physical fitness and basic mountaineering skills, as it involves glacier travel and some steep climbing sections. The summit offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding Andean landscape and lakes, as well as the opportunity to peer into the active volcano's crater.
