Boyana Church, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a medieval Bulgarian Orthodox church located on the outskirts of Sofia. The church boasts some of the oldest and most well-preserved Eastern Orthodox frescoes, dating back to the 13th century, and provides a unique insight into the development of medieval Christian art in the Balkan region.
