Founded in 1501 by the great Buddhist saint Pema Lingpa, Tamshing Lhündrup Monastery is an important cultural and religious site in Bhutan. The monastery houses ancient religious artifacts, as well as wall paintings that date back more than 500 years. The monks who live and study at Tamshing Lhündrup Monastery continue to practice their religious traditions as taught by Pema Lingpa, making it a living example of Bhutan's rich cultural heritage.
