Fort Zoutman is the oldest building in Aruba, built in 1798 to protect the island from pirates and other invaders. The fort is now home to the Aruba Historical Museum, which offers insight into the island's history, culture, and traditions through exhibits and artifacts spanning from pre-Columbian times to the present day.
